Co-Parenting co-parenting

“EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION IN CO-PARENTING IS THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION.”

Over the years I have realised that there is a real need for co-parenting counselling, as I have dealt and see people/couples going through divorce everyday.  It is not something to fear, it is in actual fact the best thing you can do for your children while you navigate a new way forward.

How does it work?

I help couples who have separated or divorced improve their communication and cooperation for the benefit of their children.  I focus on fostering a functional child centred relationship by teaching effective conflict resolution, communication skills, and helping set healthy boundaries for the way forward.  I do this in a structured, neutral setting that helps parents put their past issues aside and we focus on creating a stable environment where their children can thrive.

What do we do in Co-Parenting Counselling?

Improve communication:

I teach parents how to talk and listen to each other without hostility and to ensure they can discuss parenting matters effectively.

Reduce conflict:

I provide tools for resolving disagreements in a healthy, productive way, ensuring discussions focus on solutions rather than past grievances.

Prioritize the child’s well-being:

We shift the focus from the parents’ relationship to the emotional and psychological needs of the children.

Establish a co-parenting plan:

I help parents develop a shared strategy for raising their children that serves their best interests.

Set healthy boundaries:

Together we create clear guidelines and respect for each other’s roles, preventing intrusion and managing personal emotions appropriately.

Facilitate emotional healing:

I provide a space for parents to process their own feelings related to the separation, which helps them be more effective co-parents.
